How does a plot-driven, layered approach work? Throughout the Bible, there is an overarching story to be enjoyed. The story also gives you context clues to comprehend what you are reading. The Layered Bible Journey draws your attention to the plot and takes you through it at a quicker pace. This accelerates your understanding and keeps you from getting bogged down. This is accomplished by having you read the Bible in three layers. The first layer uses a subset among the sixty-six books of the Bible to take you at an accelerated pace from Creation through the story of the Old Testament to Jesus and the Church, covering one-third of the Bible. The next two layers each use another subset of books and take you through the plot again, reinforcing and enriching the overarching story. The plot keeps you engaged so that you finish.
